Laundry Worker - Punchbowl Laundry

Punchbowl Laundry is part of Ensign Services, the largest linen and textiles management and laundry operator in Australasia.

Our Laundry plants manage the garment, textile and laundry requirements of customers in the essential services of healthcare and aged care together with the hospitality and accommodation sectors.

Duties

  • Sorting through soiled and dirty garments and linen from hospitality, corporate businesses, aged care facilities
  • Processing of linen
  • Fast paced production work
  • Machine Operating
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Labour intensive work (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
  • Following safe work procedures

Skills experience

  • Can do attitude
  • Willingness to be part of our safety culture
  • Good Fitness Level with the ability to lift 5kg - 15kg repetitively
  • Flexibility
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player comfortable working in a multicultural workforce
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and apply the information to your work 
  • Basic literacy & numeracy skills
  • Previous laundry experience would be an advantage but not necessary as on the job training will be provided.
