Supply Supervisor - Punchbowl

We are currently seeking a Supply Supervisor to join our Stores Team at our Punchbowl Laundry.

The role of the Stores Coordinator is to guide and manage the Punchbowl Stores Team towards delivering outstanding customer service in terms of quality, quantity, and promptness. All tasks must be completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with budgetary constraints.

ENSIGN SERVICES is Australia’s largest provider of managed laundry and textile solutions. We proudly provide customised laundry and textile solutions including linen and workwear supply, laundry solutions and management to the Retail, Corporate, Industrial, Education, Health, and Resources Sectors. 

The role

• Ensure all new staff receive the appropriate induction which must include:
  • Health and Safety
  • Introduction to the Quality Management System
  • General employee information
• Supervise and coordinate the stores area and related activities in this area.
• Ensure management, procurement and control of textile stocks in accordance with budgeted investment and amortization guidelines.
• Ensure operating procedures are followed and where necessary recommend changes to the Operations Manager.
• To liaise and assist with all other sections of the laundry service, as required, to ensure customer needs are met.
• Ensure appropriate rostering of employees that meets agreed staffing levels.
• Encourage the culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
• Understand and follow Policies and Quality Management System operating procedures.
• Undertake other duties as required by the Operations Manager

• Staff leadership skills
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Computer literacy
• Relevant industry knowledge
• Experience in a high transaction customer service environment
• Experience with in-house database systems
